Ghaziabad/Lucknow,

5 April (HS): A grand Mahakumbh was organised on Sunday at Ghaziabad's Ghantaghar

Ramlila Maidan to mark Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti. On the invitation of the

state's Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and

Disabled Empowerment, Narendra Kashyap, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad

Maurya and Brajesh Pathak participated in the programme as chief guests and

addressed the function. With the participation of thousands of people from

Delhi-NCR, Western Uttar Pradesh, Purvanchal and Bundelkhand, including the

Kashyap Nishad community, the entire premises turned into a sea of people.

Addressing

the event, Deputy Chief Minister Keshav Prasad Maurya said that the current

government has given top priority to honoring every great man and preserving

their ideas. He added that such grand events serve to unite society and

strengthen cultural heritage. Commenting on previous governments, he said that

the scale at which the Maharishi Kashyap Jayanti Mahakumbh is being organized

today was not possible before.

Addressing

the public meeting via mobile phone, Deputy Chief Minister Brajesh Pathak paid

tribute to the contributions of Maharishi Kashyap and said that his ideals will

continue to guide society for ages. He thanked Minister Narendra Kashyap for

the grandeur of the event.

Minister

Narendra Kashyap said that this event, which began on a small scale years ago,

has now grown into a Maha Kumbh. He stated that a proposal will be made to

implement various schemes in the name of Maharishi Kashyap at the state and

central levels, ensuring the broader interests of society. During the event,

tricycles, assistive devices, and benefits from other schemes were distributed

to persons with disabilities. Also, an exhibition organized by the Department

for the Welfare of Persons with Disabilities and Backward Classes, providing

information on various government schemes, attracted special attention.

The

crowds present at the Mahakumbh resolved to follow the ideals of Maharishi

Kashyap and strengthen social harmony and unity. Members of Parliament, MLAs,

regional officials, and representatives from various organizations were present

at the event, further enhancing the prestige of the event.
