Guwahati, 05 April (HS): Assam Pradesh Congress Committee's former president and BJP candidate Bhupen Bora on Sunday launched a scathing attack on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi amid the ongoing election campaign, questioning his political credibility and connection with the state.
Addressing campaign gatherings, Bora said that before dreaming of building a “greater Assam,” Gogoi should first ensure whether he can win his own election. He further alleged that Gogoi lacks any real connection with Assam’s land, water and environment.
In a sharp remark, Bora also stated that it would take Gogoi another 15 years to truly understand the essence of regionalism and nationalism in Assam. The comments have intensified the political rhetoric in the state as campaigning gathers momentum ahead of the assembly elections.
Bora’s statements reflect the escalating war of words between political leaders, with both sides engaging in aggressive campaigning to sway voters.---------------
