Tehran/Washington, 30 April (H.S.): Iran, having lost Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei and top military commanders in fighting with US-Israel, shows no willingness to concede control over the Strait of Hormuz. President Donald Trump stated Wednesday the blockade of Iranian ports will not lift. He declared Iran must surrender. Iran issued sharp response to Trump's statement. Iranian commanders assert capitulation is unthinkable. Iran's oil-dependent economy teeters yet prepares direct confrontation with America. Facing escalating crisis, US considers deploying hypersonic missile 'Dark Eagle' in Hormuz with strike range exceeding 2,700 km.
According to CNN, CBS News, Mehr News Agency, Al Jazeera, Bloomberg, and Gulf News reports, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Seyyed Mojtaba Khamenei's senior advisor Major General Mohsin Raei stated Iran's powerful armed forces stand fully prepared against any potential US attack.
Former IRGC commander Major General Raei said late Wednesday on television that any new US strike against Iran would prove devastating. History will record Iran drowned American superpower in Persian Gulf and Oman Sea, he declared.
Global energy markets reel in panic. Crude oil prices skyrocket. Post-US blockade, Iran completely sealed Hormuz. Rising fuel costs trouble America itself. IRGC Navy Commander Rear Admiral Shahram Irani declared Iran will never surrender. Country won't bow to Trump's threats. Iran stands ready for counteraction across all fronts. If enemy has courage, send ships through Hormuz Strait, Irani challenged. He claimed US blockade proves ineffective as multiple ships departed Iranian ports, some reaching destinations.
Iranian vowed enemy will soon face weapon it greatly fears.
IRGC Navy already fired seven missiles at US carrier Abraham Lincoln, preventing aircraft launches or airstrikes. IRGC Navy political deputy Mohammad Akbarzadeh stated America harbours new misconceptions about Iran. If America launches military action against Iran again, IRGC Navy will reduce its massive ships to ashes.
Amid tensions, US officials acknowledge Iran's military strength persists despite aggression. US reportedly considers deploying hypersonic missile 'Dark Eagle'. Iranian officials claim missile and drone stockpiles sustain prolonged conflict. Report states US Central Command recognises this, requesting long-stalled Dark Eagle system deployment to region.
Objective: Enable US forces strike Iran's inland ballistic missile launchers. Approval would mark first US hypersonic weapon deployment.
Meanwhile, Trump maintains military ceasefire. Iran celebrated National Persian Gulf Day—annually late April—commemorating 1622 expulsion of Portuguese from Hormuz. President Pezeshkian declared waterway symbol of great Iranian nation's resistance, holding US-Israel responsible for any insecurity.
Trump Wednesday stated, Blockade works brilliantly. Iran's economy truly in crisis. Dead economy. Reports suggest President so pleased with blockade he prepares allies for prolonged continuation. Wall Street Journal claims war devastated Iran's economy. One million jobs lost. Food prices soar.
Oil Minister Mohsin Paknejad warned public Wednesday to conserve energy, ordering government offices cut electricity use 70% after 1 PM.
