New Delhi, 30 April (H.S.): Marking the centenary year of Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh, the Hindi play Sangh Ganga ke Teen Bhagirath was staged at Ashok Singhal Sabhaghar in RSS headquarters 'Keshav Kunj', Delhi. Delhi Art, Culture and Language Minister Kapil Mishra and RSS All India Pracharak Pramukh Sunil Ambekar attended the event.
The play chronicles the lives and contributions of RSS's first three Sarsanghchalaks—Dr Keshav Baliram Hedgewar, Madhav Sadashiv Golwalkar (Guruji), and Balasaheb Deoras. It vividly portrays RSS's century-long journey. This Wednesday evening performance marked the play's 100th staging to celebrate RSS's 100 years.
On the occasion, Minister Kapil Mishra stated, 'Sangh Ganga ke Teen Bhagirath' powerfully instils patriotism, organisation, discipline, and dedication. Like the Ganga, this ideological and cultural flow continues ceaselessly, providing society and nation new direction. Nation-building through plays, performances, writing, and cultural creations must continue relentlessly—this is our collective responsibility.
Written by Sridhar Gadage and directed by Sanjay Pendse, the play brings alive the lives of these great personalities who prioritised national interest even in adverse circumstances, building a strong, disciplined, and expansive organisation.
Nationwide Performances
Multiple stagings of this play are occurring across India during RSS's centenary year. Its objective is to effectively convey nationalism, self-discipline, social harmony, and RSS's glorious history to the new generation. The event saw large attendance of dignitaries, social workers, litterateurs, artists, and citizens.
To mark RSS completing 100 years, performances began nationwide from April 30, 2025. Delhi has already hosted the play at various venues.
