April (HS): Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will visit Assam on
April 3, 2026, to campaign for the forthcoming assembly elections. He will
address public rallies in the Barpeta and Barchalla seats to promote candidates
from the National Democratic Alliance (NDA). Following the BJP's victory in
2021, the Barchalla seat (Sonitpur district) will be contested in a triangular
manner in 2026. This visit is part of a high-profile campaign, with other
national leaders planning rallies in the state.
In
a post on X, he mentioned, “The faith in development, good governance, and
security is clearly visible on the sacred land of Assam. The people here are
with the double-engine government for their bright future and rich culture.
Today, I will have the opportunity to interact with the people of the Barpeta
and Barchala assembly constituencies. The development-loving people of the
state are once again going to give their blessings to the BJP-NDA for a Self-Reliant
Assam - Developed Assam.
