
New Delhi, 03 April (HS): Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan and Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday recalled the sacrifice of Jesus Christ on the occasion of Good Friday and said the day serves as a reminder of his timeless message of love, compassion and forgiveness.
In a message posted on X, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Good Friday reminds people of the sacrifice of Jesus Christ and prayed that the occasion strengthens the values of harmony, compassion and forgiveness.
He expressed hope that the spirit of brotherhood and hope would guide everyone.
Vice President C.P. Radhakrishnan also said the occasion is a time to reflect on Christ’s teachings of love, compassion and forgiveness. He noted that the life and teachings of Jesus Christ continue to inspire people to follow the path of humility, selflessness and righteousness.
He further expressed hope that the day would strengthen the collective resolve to uphold truth, extend kindness and promote harmony in society.
Good Friday is observed by Christians across the world to mark the crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his sacrifice for humanity.
