Sonitpur (Assam), 03 April (HS): Arunachal Pradesh Chief Minister Pema Khandu on Friday attended a Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM) programme titled “Yuva Hi Netritva Karenge” in Dhekiajuli of Sonitpur district, drawing a large gathering of young voters.
The event comes amid intensified campaigning for the Assam Assembly elections, with senior BJP leaders reaching out to first-time voters and youth across constituencies. Notably, Union Home Minister Amit Shah had also recently campaigned in the Dhekiajuli assembly constituency.
During the programme, BJP candidate from the 65 No. Dhekiajuli constituency, Ashok Singhal, interacted with first-time voters and local youth, highlighting the party’s outreach efforts among the younger electorate.
Addressing the gathering, Khandu emphasized the crucial role of youth in shaping the nation’s future, stating that their energy and ideas would be key drivers of India’s development. He encouraged young people to take responsibility and actively participate in the democratic process.
The programme served as a platform for engaging with youth-centric ideas, with leaders underlining that the strength of “youth power” would play a decisive role in taking the country forward. Khandu has been actively campaigning in Assam, participating in several rallies in support of BJP candidates ahead of the elections.------------
