Guwahati, 29 April (HS): A significant development has emerged in the ongoing investigation into the Zubeen Garg murder case, with the Special Fast Track Court ordering the seizure of bank accounts belonging to Siddharth Sharma, the manager of Zubeen.

The court has also directed authorities to freeze the bank accounts of several other individuals who had financial transactions with Sharma. This move is being seen as a crucial step towards strengthening the financial probe in the case.

In addition, the court has ordered the seizure of “Mahavir Aqua,” a firm owned by Siddharth Sharma, as part of the ongoing investigation.

It is noteworthy that the High Court had entrusted the Fast Track Court with the responsibility of hearing this case. Following several days of hearings, the court issued this important order on Wednesday.

Siddharth Sharma, who has been accused in connection with the murder of Zubeen Garg, is currently lodged in jail. After multiple hearings on his bail plea, the Fast Track Court on Tuesday reserved its order until May 2.------------
