New Delhi, 28 April (H.S.):

India has condemned the terrorist attacks in Mali and expressed profound condolences to the victims, including Defense Minister General Sadio Camara.

In a statement, the Ministry of External Affairs said India strongly condemns the terrorist attacks targeting multiple locations in Mali. We extend our deepest condolences to the families of the victims and stand in solidarity with the government and people of Mali during this difficult time.

The statement also conveyed condolences on the death of Mali's Minister of Defense and Veterans Affairs, General Sadio Camara, in the terrorist attack. Reaffirming its commitment to combating all forms of terrorism and its manifestations, it underscored India's support for efforts to ensure peace and stability in the region.

Notably, the attacks between April 25-26 involved JNIM militants affiliated with al-Qaeda and Tuareg rebels targeting several military bases across Mali.
