Dum Dum/Delhi, 24 April (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi has described the massive public response to his roadshow in Dum Dum as an “exceptional welcome,” using the occasion to accuse the Trinamool Congress of “neglecting the urban areas of West Bengal because of their culture of loot and misgovernance.”
In a post on X on Friday, he added that the BJP would “focus on urban development and ensure people’s dreams are fulfilled.”
Thick crowds lined the streets in Dum Dum as PM Modi’s motorcade moved slowly through the area, with supporters waving BJP flags and holding up placards that blamed the TMC for stalled civic projects and alleged corruption.
