
New Delhi, 02 April (H.S.): Union Communications Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia released a commemorative postage stamp on Thursday to mark the platinum jubilee of the Postal Training Centre (PTC) in Saharanpur. At the event in Rang Bhawan, Akashvani Bhawan, he described PTC not merely as an institution but as a living legacy of service, with its 75-year journey reflecting sustained contributions to nation-building.
Emphasizing future vision, Scindia stated India is poised to become a global logistics superpower by 2030, where the postal department and its personnel play a pivotal role.

Established April 2, 1951, to bolster independent India's administrative framework, the 56.71-acre campus trains postal staff from eight states and Union Territories. It features 11 modern computer labs and a dedicated e-studio, training ~3,000 employees annually in e-commerce logistics, digital operations, and financial inclusion.
