Bhubaneswar, 02 April (H.S.): Amid discussions over the visit of Congress MLAs from Odisha to Delhi, Odisha Pradesh Congress Committee (PCC) president Bhakta Charan Das has dismissed speculation about any change in the leadership of the Congress Legislature Party (CLP).

Addressing the issue, Das said the Congress MLAs had gone to Delhi merely for a visit and that reports suggesting a possible change in the CLP leadership are baseless.

He clarified that the party has a defined procedure for changing the leader of the Congress Legislature Party, but at present there is no such proposal or situation requiring such a move.

The PCC president also urged people not to pay attention to rumours regarding leadership change within the party. He reiterated that there is currently no discussion or decision about replacing the leader of the Congress Legislature Party.
