New Delhi, 02 April (H.S.):

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has replaced Raghav Chadha with Ashok Mittal as its Deputy Leader in the Rajya Sabha on Thursday.

In a formal letter to the Rajya Sabha Secretariat, the party requested Ashok Mittal's appointment as Deputy Leader and specified that no speaking time be allocated to Raghav Chadha under AAP's quota.

Speaking to journalists, Ashok Mittal confirmed that party national convenor Arvind Kejriwal assigned him this responsibility. He pledged to execute the role with complete honesty and dedication.

AAP currently holds 10 seats in the Rajya Sabha: seven from Punjab and three from Delhi.
