Lucknow, April 19 (HS): Chief

Minister Yogi Adityanath has strongly criticized the opposition for preventing

the passage of the Nari Shakti Vandan Act Amendment Bill in Parliament. He said

that this act by the Indi alliance is not only against the dignity of women,

but also an unforgivable sin for which the women of the country

will never forgive them. The celebrations and irresponsible comments by

opposition parties after the bill's defeat reminded one of the painful incident

in Indian history when Draupadi was disrobed in a public gathering.

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, while addressing a press

conference held at the BJP state office on Sunday, said that the entire NDA

stands united with half the population of Uttar Pradesh in their outrage

against the actions of the Congress and the NDA alliance. The Chief Minister

said that the scene witnessed by the Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC, and DMK

during the voting in the House was like the 'disrobing of Draupadi' in a fully

packed assembly.

Recalling the State Guest House incident, the Chief Minister said,

See, the Samajwadi Party is terrified. The Indi Alliance is against

progressive thinking. The law against triple talaq was also opposed by the

Congress, Samajwadi Party, TMC, DMK, and all the other allies of the Indi

Alliance. The Indi Alliance should apologize to half the population.

Yogi said that the Samajwadi Party invokes the Constitution, but its conduct

contradicts the sentiments of Baba Saheb. Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants to

empower women, but unfortunately, these people remain a barrier. This

demonstrates their double standards.

The Chief Minister stated that half the population is deeply angered by the

opposition's anti-women behavior in Parliament. This anger is directed at the

Congress and its allies in the Indi alliance, the Samajwadi Party, RJD, TMC,

DMK, and other parties complicit in this sin. This anger is clearly visible

among the population, as the Indi alliance has conspired to block every step

taken by the Prime Minister, which was in the interest of every segment of

society and the country.

Yogi said that the behavior of the Indi alliance, Congress, Samajwadi Party,

TMC, and DMK in the House was like the disrobing of Draupadi in a fully packed

assembly. The irresponsible comments made by the opposition and their behavior

are no secret. Had this been done unanimously, the entire House would naturally

have received the credit. The steps being taken to ensure women's respect,

safety, and self-reliance would have given them their natural rights.

Taking aim at the Samajwadi Party, the Chief Minister said that whenever the

name of the Samajwadi Party is mentioned in Uttar Pradesh, the only thing that

comes to mind is, Look, SP members, the daughter is scared. The SP

had a good opportunity to wash away the sins of actions like the State Guest

House incident. They should have contributed to the passage of this Act.

Unfortunately, these people stood as a barrier. Their sole objective is to

ensure that everything goes to them and their families, and not to any woman,

any poor person, any youth, or any farmer. This has been their tactic, and that

is why they constantly obstruct the proceedings of Parliament.

On this occasion, apart from Union

Minister Annapurna Devi and BJP State President Pankaj Chaudhary, presidents

and representatives of other NDA parties including Apna Dal and SBSP were

present.
