(HS): Vidarbha’s Akola city has been recorded as the hottest city in India for
the consecutive second day with temperature soaring at 43.8 degree Celsius.
The
Meteorological Department has announced heat wave for eight days in the
Vidarbha region. Besides Akola, Nagpur has recorded temperature of 41.4 degrees
for consecutive second day. The heat can be experiences right from 8 or 9 in
the morning. Akola has recorded highest temperature during the same period in
summer. The summer scorch is also experienced in Amravati, Washim, Yavatmal,
Wardha, and Gadchiroli where the temperature has crossed 40 degrees.

website has recorded Akola as second highest hottest city in the world. With
the temperature already reaching 44 degrees in the middle of April the region
can imagine what will happen to them in the month of May.
In the top ten
hottest cities in the world Akola (43.8), Amravati (43.1), Yavatmal (43.2) Wardha
(43.1), Washim (42.6) and Gadchiroli (42) from the Vidarbha region have been
included.
