New Delhi, 13 April (H.S.):
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the eagerly awaited Delhi-Dehradun Economic Corridor on April 14, 2026—a 213-km six-lane access-controlled marvel built at over ₹12,000 crore, revolutionizing connectivity across Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Uttarakhand.
Per the Prime Minister's Office, PM Modi visits Uttarakhand and UP: at ~11:15 AM, he reviews the elevated wildlife corridor section in Saharanpur; ~11:40 AM, prayers at 'Jai Maa Daat Kali Temple' near Dehradun; ~12:30 PM, public function inaugurating the corridor followed by address.
Shrinking Delhi-Dehradun travel from over six hours to ~2.5 hours, it promises rapid, secure passage. Features 10 interchanges, 3 ROBs, 4 major bridges, 12 wayside amenities, and ATMS for traffic safety.
Environmentally attuned: Asia's longest 12-km wildlife elevated corridor, 8 animal underpasses, dual 200-m elephant underpasses, and 370-m tunnel near Daat Kali Temple mitigate human-wildlife conflicts.
This lifeline spurs regional growth, tourism, and trade—exemplifying modern infrastructure harmonized with ecological stewardship.
