
Mumbai, 11 Apr (HS): The helicopter carrying
Maharashtra’s Civil Supplies Minister Chhagan Bhujbal landed in a car parking
space about one kilometres away from the decided helipad in Pune on Saturday.
Although Bhujbal and other in the helicopter are safe, Chief Minister Devendra
Fadnavis has expressed Minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s helicopter
landed in car parking instead of helipad in Pune
discontent and concern and has initiated a high
level enquiry into the case.
Fadnavis said that he is not aware of the details of
the incident, which is violation of the security protocol. Bhujbal and others
including the pilot are safe, but the reason for landing in car parking instead
of designated place is being enquired.
Bhujbal was visiting Pune to attend a programme to
celebrate the 200th birth anniversary of Mahatma Jyotiba Phule . The
Director General of Civil Aviation has been informed about the incident and
enquiry against the pilot will be initiated after the enquiry.
In a video that went viral on social media, the
helicopter landing in front of the car parking instead of the helipad, could be
seen.
MLA Rohit Pawar on his X Handle has suggested
Bhujbal to travel carefully, and has express concern over the negligence of the
company operating the helicopter services. Rohit Pawar has express concern as
recently DCM and his uncle Ajit Pawar’s plane crashed in Baramati leading his death.
