Pune, 07 Mar (HS): Pune Metro has taken a decision

to reserve seats for women and senior citizens in all the coaches. The decision

to ensure security of women and ensure comfortable journey for senior citizens will

be enforced from March 8, the International Women’s Day.

Metro Train in Pune runs with three coaches, in

which 14 seats for women and two seats for seniors have been reserved in first

and third coaches, and 18 for women and four for seniors in the second coach.

The seats will be marked as reserved for women and

senior citizens to facilitate their journey. The Metro authorities have appealed

to travellers to follow the rules.
