India and Finland held discussions Thursday on strengthening ties in skill development, vocational education, and the mobility of trained workforces.Minister of State (Independent Charge) for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Jayant Chaudhary met Finland's Employment Minister Matias Marttinen during President Alexander Stubb's visit, identifying opportunities to fortify cooperation across institutions, industries, and training systems for future-ready talent ecosystems.
The Ministry statement highlighted converging efforts to promote vocational education and workforce fluidity. Chaudhary emphasized India's ascent as the global skills hub under PM Modi's vision, backed by its youthful demographic and expanding infrastructure: India's demographic edge complements Finland's technical and vocational excellence, forging a natural skills partnership.
Marttinen praised Indian professionals strengthening Finnish sectors, valuing the partnership: Finland cherishes growing ties with India in vocational education and workforce development.
