New Delhi, 05 March (H.S.): Global equity markets flashed robust recovery signals today, with Asian indices leading the charge after solid gains in US and European sessions. While Dow Jones futures showed mild weakness, broad-based buying underscored renewed investor optimism.

US markets closed higher in the previous session, with the S&P 500 advancing 0.78% to 6,869.50 and Nasdaq soaring 1.33% or 299.18 points to 22,815.87. Dow Jones futures, however, traded 0.38% lower at 48,555.21, down 184.20 points.

European bourses ended firmly in the green yesterday, buoyed by sustained buying interest. London's FTSE rose 0.79% or 83.52 points to 10,567.65, while France's CAC climbed 0.78% to 8,167.73. Germany's DAX delivered the strongest performance, surging 1.71% or 414.71 points to 24,205.36.

Asian markets traded unanimously higher across all nine major indices, reflecting risk-on sentiment. GIFT Nifty edged up 0.07% to 24,655, while Straits Times gained 0.59% to 4,841.18. South Korea's Kospi staged a dramatic rebound, rocketing 7.65% or 422.06 points to 5,515.60 after Wednesday's sharp drop.

Taiwan Weighted jumped 2.28% or 767.60 points to 33,596.48, Thailand's SET Composite rose 1.79% to 1,409.82, and Jakarta Composite added 1.50% or 113.88 points to 7,690.94. Japan's Nikkei climbed 1.36% or 739.46 points to 54,985, Shanghai Composite gained 0.84% to 4,116.77, and Hang Seng advanced 0.70% or 178.52 points to 25,428.
