
Hojai (Assam), 31 March (HS): In view of the upcoming Assembly Elections 2026 in the state, the campaign trail has intensified with top national leaders reaching key constituencies to rally support for their respective parties and candidates. As part of this campaign push, Prime Minister Narendra Modi is scheduled to visit Hojai district on April 6.
Preparations are already in full swing at Srimanta Sankardev Nagar in the district headquarters town, where the Prime Minister will address a public rally. Construction of a large pandal is underway at the playground located in front of the Deputy Commissioner’s office, with security personnel closely supervising the arrangements. Authorities are working with full readiness to ensure the smooth conduct of the event. The state BJP has planned the rally anticipating a gathering of nearly one lakh people.
Meanwhile, as part of the ongoing campaign activities, state Cabinet Minister Pijush Hazarika will campaign on April 1 in No. 2 Kaki area in support of BJP candidate Shibu Mishra.-------------
