March (HS): Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will transfer funds under

scholarship and family benefit schemes via DBT today. This program will be held

at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan in Lucknow. State Minister (Independent

Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare and Disabled Empowerment, Narendra

Kashyap, said that on this occasion, scholarship and fee reimbursement funds

worth approximately Rs 3350 crore will be transferred by the Chief Minister to

the bank accounts of a total of 27,99,982 students of classes 9-10 and

post-matric.

He

informed that among the beneficiary students, Rs 467.94 crore will be

distributed to 6,68,707 students of Scheduled Caste, Rs 779.10 crore to

4,95,793 students of General Category, Rs 1838.59 crore to 13,52,357 students

of Other Backward Class, Rs 252.76 crore to 2,75,889 students of Minority

Category and Rs 11.61 crore to 7,236 students of Scheduled Tribe. In the

financial year 2025-26, a total amount of Rs 4735.04 crore is being transferred

directly to the bank accounts of 65,05,151 beneficiaries through DBT, which is

a proof of the transparent, accountable and public welfare policy of the Yogi

Government.

He said

that the Yogi government, working with the commitment of Priority to the

Disadvantaged - Priority to the Weak, is taking historic initiatives in

the fields of education and social security. To make scholarship schemes more

effective, the entire system is being automated, and a mobile app is being

developed to simplify the application process.
