30 March (HS): Under the leadership of the Metropolitan President, the
nominated councilors arrived at the function with great pomp and show with
drums, supporters and party workers. The swearing-in ceremony for the ten
nominated councillors of the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation (PMC) was held on
Monday. Amid the beats of drums and cymbals from the All Saints Cathedral Church
in Civil Lines, accompanied by a large crowd of supporters and BJP workers, all
ten nominated councillors, led by BJP Prayagraj Metropolitan President Sanjay
Gupta, arrived at the Prayagraj Municipal Corporation premises, where the
swearing-in ceremony was held in the grand hall of the corporation's new
building, presided over by Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani.
Mayor
Ganesh Kesarwani administered the oath of office and secrecy to all nominated
councillors. He then welcomed and greeted all ten nominated councillors with
robes and garlands. Addressing the gathering earlier, Mayor Ganesh Kesarwani
said that the inclusion of the nominated councillors has strengthened the
municipal corporation's team. Our responsibilities to the public have
increased, he said. Let us all pledge to work together for the
development of Prayagraj. The Prayagraj Municipal Corporation has accomplished
many remarkable things in every field. Every effort has been made to ensure the
city's development, its cleanliness, and to fulfill our responsibilities to the
public, and this will continue in the future.
BJP
Metropolitan President Sanjay Gupta said that these nominated councillors are
an example of how far an ordinary worker can reach heights in the BJP on the
basis of his work. Every BJP worker deserves respect. On behalf of all BJP
workers of the Metropolitan, he congratulated the nominated councillors for
this new responsibility and wished them a bright future. MLC Surendra Chaudhary
said that BJP finds its hardworking workers. Even an ordinary worker can dream
big in the party on the basis of his hard work. Phulpur MLA Deepak Patel said
that the responsibilities of nominated councillors are not less. Now they will
have to always be ready to serve the public. He congratulated and wished all
the nominated councillors.
These
nominated councillors were sworn in: Swarika Bhardwaj from Shivgnagar Colony, Shyam
Chandra Hela from Rajapur, Durgesh Nandini from Kala Danda Himmat Ganj, Rajesh
Kushwaha from Khuldabad, Akhilesh Singh from Rajrooppur, Babban Prajapati from
Krishna Nagar Kidganj, Dilip Kesarwani from Kazipur Naini (Prayagraj
Metropolitan), Praveen Bhartiya from Nevada Hasting Road, Arun Kumar Mishra
from Awas Vikas Colony Jhunsi and Lal Bahadur Sahu from TSL Naini took oath of
office and secrecy as newly appointed nominated councillors. There was an
atmosphere of enthusiasm among women as well due to the inclusion of two women
councillors among the nominated councillors. A large number of BJP Mahila
Morcha workers were present at the function. Dr. Shailesh Pandey, Pramod Modi,
Kanchanalata Kushwaha, Arun Patel, Vijay Srivastava, Ajay Singh, Ravi Kesarwani,
Deep Dwivedi, Pawan Srivastava, Vivek Mishra, Sujit Kushwaha, Rajesh Gond,
Neeraj Gupta, Ashish Dwivedi, Vandana Singh, Chandra Ahluwalia, Shikha Rastogi,
Rita Singh, Shobhita Srivastava, Seema Srivastava, Ajay Hela etc. were present.
