Empowerment

future: Minister Narendra Kashyap

30 March (HS): During a grand event organized by Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath
at the Indira Gandhi Pratishthan on Monday, scholarship and fee reimbursement
funds worth Rs.
3,350 crore
were transferred via DBT to the bank accounts of 27,99,982 students from
disadvantaged and vulnerable sections of society, in grades 9 and 10, and
post-graduation. Additionally, assistance of Rs. 100 crore was provided to
33,334 dependent beneficiaries under the National Family Benefit Scheme.
On this
occasion, the State Minister (Independent Charge) for Backward Classes Welfare
and Disabled Empowerment, Narendra Kashyap, in his address, said that this
program is not just a formal event, but a divine confluence of social justice
and the resolve for a bright future. He instilled enthusiasm among the
students, energizing the program with the chants of Bharat Mata Ki
Jai and Vande Mataram, welcomed and congratulated the Chief
Minister.
Minister
Kashyap said that under the leadership of Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Uttar
Pradesh is setting new dimensions of development, good governance, security,
and cultural pride. He said that with his discipline, clear vision, and spirit
of service, the Chief Minister has proved that politics is the highest medium
for public service.
Narendra
Kashyap said that under the guidance of the Chief Minister, scholarship
distribution in the state began on September 25th, and by January 2026,
scholarships had been provided to 2,012,258 students through the Backward
Classes Welfare Department. Today, on March 30, scholarships were distributed
to 1,352,357 Other Backward Classes students. He further stated that in the
financial year 2025-26, the Backward Classes Welfare Department has already
provided approximately of Rs. 2,700 crore to 33,64,615 students through DBT.
He said that under the Chief Minister's guidance, for the first time, the state
has succeeded in providing 100 percent scholarships to eligible students,
whereas in
the past, millions of students were deprived of this.
Minister
Kashyap also stated that under the Chief Minister's guidance, grants totaling of
Rs.
232 crore have been provided to 116,000 families for the marriage of daughters
from backward classes. He assured that the government will continue to work
tirelessly to ensure a bright future for every eligible student by providing
them with 100% scholarships.
