(HS): Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL staff

have sought police protection to carry out the pending dues recovery drive.

The drive was

launched on March 1, 2026 and more than 36,000 connections were cut in Nagpur

and Wardha district. The recovery staff moving house to house were manhandled

in some areas.

Chief Minister

Devendra Fadnavis is holding the Energy Department and also Home. MSEDCL has

appealed to Fadnavis to provide police protection to the staff deputed in some

sensitive areas.
