
Resignation not demanded
Mumbai, 27 Mar
(HS): Maharashtra Minister for Food and Drug Administration, Narhari Zirwal has
been granted relief by the Nationalist Congress Party leaders, including Deputy
Chief Minister Sunetra Pawar. His resignation will not be demanded immediately,
after a video relating to his sexual relations with a transgender went viral on
social media.
Meanwhile,
Zirwal contacted Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and told him that the video
is fake. Zirwal’s video is an issue of hot discussion in the political circles
and common people. Earlier Zirwal was targeted by the opposition as an employee
at his office ion the Mantaralaya was caught accepting bribe in the Mantralaya
premises.
Demanding
resignation of a minister immediately following such allegations is uncalled
for. However, stern action will be taken following enquiry into the action.
Fadnavis said Dhananjay
Munde had to resign after arrests of persons close to him. Another minister
Manikrao Kokate had to resign after court held him guilty. The video related to
Zirwal will also be verified before initiating any action in this connection.
Ashok Kharat
Issue: Fadnavis also said stern action will be initiated against hose involved
in fraud godman Ashok Kharat case of sexual exploitation. He also warned of
action against those who make names or photographs of women victims in this
case.
