Guwahati, 27 March (HS): BJP leader and Bihpuriya Candidate Bhupen Bora on Friday launched a sharp attack on AIUDF chief Badruddin Ajmal, alleging that his politics is rooted in communalism and cannot function without it.
Addressing the media, Bora said that Ajmal has consistently relied on divisive strategies and is incapable of engaging in politics beyond communal lines. He further claimed that Ajmal’s rise in the political landscape was facilitated by the Congress party, which allowed him to gain prominence.
Echoing similar sentiments, BJP leader Prasanta Phukan alleged that the Congress party’s past decisions helped Ajmal strengthen his position, enabling him to dominate certain political spaces.
The BJP leaders also accused the All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) of seeking support from leaders like Asaduddin Owaisi, describing him as a hardline Islamic figure, in an attempt to cross the electoral threshold in the upcoming elections.-----------
