Lucknow, 26

March (HS): On Chaitra Navratri's Ashtami Tithi, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister

Yogi Adityanath worshipped Goddess Mahagauri, the eighth form of Goddess Durga.

He offered traditional devotion at Gorakhnath Temple in Gorakhpur, praying for

happiness, peace, prosperity, and good health for the people of the state. CM

Yogi also took to social media to wish everyone a happy Durga Ashtami. CM Yogi

greeted the state's people a happy Navratri, the grand festival of Shakti

worship, and prayed for their well-being.

On the eighth day of Navratri, the Mahagauri form of Mother Goddess is

worshipped, representing peace and might.

CM Yogi frequently attends Navratri celebrations, particularly those

honoring various kinds of Maa Durga and Kanya Pujan.

In a post

on X, he mentioned, “She was clean and dressed in white and rode on a white

bull. May Mahagauri who delights the great gods bestow auspiciousness. The life

of the seeker is illuminated with purity, self-control and power by worshiping

Maa Mahagauri, the eighth form of Maa Durga, the mother of the universe. May

the aspirations of the devotees be fulfilled by the grace of Mother, and may

happiness, peace, prosperity and new energy be infused in their lives. Jai Maa

Mahagauri!”
