
Kohima, 27 March (HS): A 22-year-old woman from Nagaland was found dead in her rented accommodation in the Aravindnagar area of Karnataka’s Chikkamagaluru district on March 25, triggering serious concerns over alleged harassment linked to the case, official sources informed on Thursday.
The deceased, identified as Linsula from Kiphire district, had been working at a local resort. Preliminary reports suggest that she killed by suicide, though the circumstances surrounding her death are under investigation.
According to police sources, a personal diary recovered from her room contains entries accusing two individuals, identified as Rajesh and Tejas, of subjecting her to repeated mental and physical harassment. The notes reportedly point to sustained pressure for a relationship, which is believed to have caused significant emotional distress.
Authorities have initiated a detailed probe into the allegations, while further action is expected based on the findings of the investigation.------------
