Nashik 26 Mar (HS): The Special Investigation Team (SIT) has sealed the office

of Ashok Kharat At Canada Corner in Nashik, after carrying out search operation

and seizure of some incriminating material. Kharat is in police custody following

complaints against him relating to sexual exploitation of women and projecting

himself as Godman.

With more

number of victims reporting at police station, fresh offences are being

registered against Kharat. The offences include sexual exploitation, honey

trap, money laundering, threatening farmers, murders, practising witchcraft,

etc. The total number of offences has reached eight against Kharat.

Following

exposure of Kharat’s deeds Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis constituted SIT

under IPS office Tejasvini Satpute. SIT has expedited enquiry against Kharat

following extension of his police custody till March 29. Investigations into

land grabbed at Ojas Property, land grabbing from the Revenue Department and

related transactions.

Those who

helped Kharat, including his wife and his Chartered Accountant, may be summoned

for enquiry,
