
Kolkata, 26 March (H.S.) : The Left Front on Thursday announced candidates for seven more assembly seats in West Bengal, further advancing its preparations for the upcoming state elections. With this latest list, the alliance has now declared nominees for a total of 246 seats. Earlier, candidates for 239 constituencies had been announced in three phases.
According to the announcement, CPI(M) has fielded Alok Kumar Das from Jangipur, Abul Hasnat from Raghunathganj, Shukla Saha from Nakashipara, Debasish Chakraborty from Ranaghat Uttar Paschim, Mrinal Biswas from Ranaghat Uttar Purba (SC), Subrata Panda from Egra, and Jayanta Bhalla from Mayureswar.
The continued release of candidate lists is seen as part of the Left Front’s strategy to consolidate its electoral preparedness and provide clarity on its lineup well ahead of the polls. The move is expected to help the alliance strengthen its grassroots campaign and organisational coordination across constituencies.
