March (HS): On Thursday, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is all

set t o launch the 71st Software Technology Parks of India (STPI)

Centre in Gorakhpur, a significant step towards improving the state's digital

and startup environment. The new STPI center is intended to assist startups, IT

enterprises, and innovators, with the goal of promoting regional growth,

innovation, and job prospects.

In a post

on X, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath praised the effort to Prime Minister

Narendra Modi's leadership. His post on X, reads as follows, “Under the

visionary leadership of Hon. PM Shri @narendramodi Ji, today Gorakhpur will witness the

inauguration of the 71st Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) Centre,

marking a key milestone in strengthening Uttar Pradesh’s digital and startup

ecosystem. Designed to support startups, IT companies, and innovators, this

modern facility will accelerate growth, innovation and employment

opportunities. I look forward to engaging with innovators and partners shaping

India’s digital future. This initiative reflects our vision of making Uttar

The

Software Technology Parks of India (STPI), a flagship institution within the

Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology (MeitY), fosters the IT/ITES

sector, innovation, R&D, startups, and the production of products or

intellectual property. It focuses on emerging technologies such as IoT,

Blockchain, Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Computer

Vision, Robotics, Robotic Process Automation (RPA), Augmented and Virtual

Reality, Animation and Visual Effects, Data Science and Analytics across domains

including Gaming, FinTech, Agritech, MedTech, Autonomous Connected Electric and

Shared (ACES) Mobility, ESDM, Cyber Security, Industry 4.0, Drone Technology,

and Efficiency Augmentation. Since its inception in 1991, STPI has worked to

foster fair and inclusive IT-led growth throughout India by supporting software

exports, science, technology, and innovation, as well as software product
