The central government flatly rejected social media buzz claiming changes to domestic cooking gas LPG cylinder booking timelines. Petroleum Ministry clarified Wednesday no alterations to rules with urban deliveries in 25 days and rural in 45 days unchanged.

The ministrys statement noted reports wrongly claiming 45 days for PM Ujjwala Yojana connections 25 days for non-PMUY single cylinder and 35 days for non-PMUY double cylinder. Existing refill booking deadlines remain as is with no modifications.

Citizens should shun misleading info and rumours neither trusting nor spreading them the government urged. Avoid needless or panicked bookings too. Ample LPG stocks exist nationwide so no shortage worries for consumers.
