New Delhi, 25 March (H.S.): Police and investigation agencies stayed on maximum alert Wednesday after Delhi Assembly received a second straight day of bomb threats. Authorities ramped up security around the premises deploying bomb squads dog units and multiple Delhi Police teams for thorough checks.
Tuesday's email threat had already put forces on edge but Wednesdays fresh warning triggered even tighter measures. No explosives turned up so far though searches continue across the complex and nearby areas watching every suspicious item closely.
Police said the mornings email claimed 16 RDX devices planted inside with a blast planned around 1:40 pm. It named political leaders with provocative remarks prompting probes into that angle too. The sender tied himself to a group boasting limited resources yet ready to execute despite targeting only property—not people—while urging evacuation.
Cyber cell aids in tracing the emails source and tech details to nab the culprit fast. Delhi Police urged public to ignore rumours and report any odd activity immediately.
