Amid West Asia tensions the government assured consumers Tuesday of normal LPG petrol diesel availability while directing city gas firms to expand PNG connections as two Indian LPG vessels Pine Gas and Jag Vasanth transited the Strait of Hormuz safely under naval watch heading home.

Shipping Ministry Special Secretary Rajesh Sinha confirmed all Indian ships sailors safe in the Gulf with no incidents past 24 hours as Pine Gas carrying 45000 metric tonnes eyes New Mangalore arrival March 27 morning while Jag Vasanth with 47600 tonnes targets Kandla March 26 leaving 20 Indian flagged vessels 540 sailors in Persian Gulf no port congestion reported.
