Guwahati, 24 March (HS): Assam BJP president Dilip Saikia launched a sharp attack on Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi, alleging that Gogoi is not proficient in the Assamese language and therefore should refrain from commenting on others.

Addressing media last night, Saikia criticized Gogoi’s linguistic abilities, claiming that the Congress leader struggles to speak Assamese properly. He further took a dig at Gogoi by referring to his alleged misuse of common Assamese expressions.

The BJP leader’s remarks come amid the ongoing political exchanges in the run-up to the Assam Assembly elections, where both parties have intensified their attacks against each other.----------
