Guwahati, 24 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Tuesday extended his good wishes and greetings to the people on the auspicious occasion of Basanti Puja, marking the beginning of Chaitra Navratri.

Highlighting the spiritual significance of the day, the Chief Minister in his social media message said that the arrival of Goddess Durga, the embodiment of strength, courage and self-confidence, brings renewed hope and positivity not only to nature but also to human life.

He expressed hope that this sacred occasion would usher in peace, happiness and prosperity in everyone’s lives, while praying for collective well-being and harmony.

Extending his wishes in both Assamese and Hindi, Sarma concluded his message with a devotional note, invoking blessings of Maa Durga and wishing everyone a Shubh Basanti Puja.------------
