Lucknow,
22 March (HS): World Water Day serves as a timely reminder to collect the rain
where it falls and to acknowledge the importance of water conservation for
environmental security. World Water Day, observed annually on March 22,
emphasizes the significance of freshwater and promotes sustainable water
management. In Uttar Pradesh, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has prioritized
water conservation through efforts such as revitalizing over 60 rivers,
prohibiting plastics, and deploying groundwater recharge methods to tackle dark
zone blocks.
He
stated in a post on X, “Best wishes to the people of the state on World Water
Day. Conserve every drop of water is our moral and social responsibility. On
World Water Day, let's pledge to conserve water resources and fulfill our
responsibility to nature.”
