
Guwahati, 22 March (HS): Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has strongly condemned the recent attack by ULFA, terming it unacceptable and vowing strict action against those responsible.
Speaking to the media, the Chief Minister informed that a joint operation involving the Army and state police has been launched across the affected region to track down militants and ensure public safety. He asserted that security forces are working in close coordination to prevent further incidents and restore normalcy. CM was talking to media persons after a program on Sunday.
On the political front, Sarma reiterated that the BJP-led alliance is aiming to win 104 seats in the upcoming Assam Assembly elections, expressing confidence in the party’s prospects.
He further announced that the election campaign will officially begin from Tuesday, with an extensive outreach programme planned across the state.-----------
