Etawah, 20 March (HS): The Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences
(UPUMS), Saifai, has been conferred with the prestigious The Economic Times
GovTech Award 2026. The University’s pioneering initiative, “UP Arogya Digital
Health Screening AI Drive,” has been honored under the Jury Choice Category for
the Digital Health Innovation Award. This recognition underscores UPUMS’s
unwavering commitment to transforming public healthcare delivery through
innovative, technology-driven solutions in the state of Uttar Pradesh. The
selection was made by an esteemed jury panel comprising distinguished former
bureaucrats and eminent dignitaries, acknowledging the impactful contribution
of UPUMS in advancing digital healthcare.
The award
was presented during the 6th ET GovTech Conclave & Awards Ceremony held at
Hyatt Regency Hotel, New Delhi. Vice Chancellor, Prof. (Dr.) Ajai Singh,
expressed his pride on this achievement and stated that UPUMS is rapidly
emerging as a leader in digital health innovation. He further emphasized that
the University will continue to strengthen public health systems through
cutting-edge technological interventions.
The UP
Arogya Digital Health Screening AI Drive is an AI-based healthcare initiative
being implemented across nearby regions and districts. Under this program,
screening for cervical and breast cancer is conducted using advanced AI-enabled
devices, facilitating early detection and significantly improving health
outcomes.
