
Kolkata, 02 March (H.S.) : The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) launched its much-anticipated “Parivartan Yatra” across West Bengal with enthusiastic public participation in multiple districts. Senior party leaders addressed large rallies, highlighting the party’s vision for development, security, women empowerment, and corruption-free governance in the state.
BJP National President Nitin Naveen addressed a rally at the Islampur Court Grounds in Islampur constituency, Malda. He stated that under a BJP government, Islampur would be transformed into “Ishwarpur,” symbolizing cultural pride and development. Naveen accused the current state government of trying to confine women to their homes, asserting that women in Bengal have the capability to lead the nation. He further criticized appeasement politics and illegal immigration, calling them threats to the state’s social and economic fabric.
Union Defence Minister Rajnath Singh addressed a rally at the Joypur Amragori Athletic Club Grounds in Amta constituency, Howrah-Hugli division. Singh said the BJP aims to create a Bengal where citizens can live fearlessly in a peaceful environment. He emphasized industrial growth, infrastructure development, road and bridge construction, and large-scale employment generation as priorities. He also pledged to ensure transparency and accountability in welfare schemes to curb corruption and ensure benefits reach the public directly.
Union Agriculture and Farmers Welfare Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan spoke at a rally in Bairamari Club Grounds, Sandeshkhali constituency, North 24 Parganas. Chouhan stressed that development cannot be achieved without respecting and ensuring the safety of women. He highlighted concerns over law-and-order issues and political violence affecting women’s security. Chouhan announced plans to develop the Sundarbans as a major tourist destination, take strict action against illegal immigration, and promote women’s financial independence through schemes like “Lakhpati Didi.”
Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis addressed a rally at Arapur Basic Mod Grounds, Hasan constituency, Bardhaman. He said West Bengal has lagged in industrialization and that key central schemes like Ayushman Bharat have not reached citizens effectively. Fadnavis assured that a BJP government would restore industrial confidence, expand economic opportunities, and ensure that the benefits of development schemes reach every citizen without discrimination.
