New Delhi, 19 March (H.S.): The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) released its second tranche of 111 candidates on Thursday for the West Bengal Legislative Assembly elections, including 10 women, nominating actress Roopa Ganguly from Sonarpur South.

The slate, finalized in the Central Election Committee meeting chaired by national president Nitin Nabin—attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and others—also swapped two from the initial 144: Bishnupur to Bishwajit Khan, Joypur to Bishwajit Mahato.BJP has now declared nominees for 255 of Bengal's 294 seats ahead of the two-phase polls on April 23 and 29, with results May 4.
