Amravati, 118 Mar (HS): The first CNG filling
station will be started from May this year on the Nagpur-Mumbai Samruddhi
Mahamar. Even after three years of opening of the 738 km expressway, there was
no CNG filling station in the entire stretch. CNG is comparatively cheaper to
petrol and diesel and has growing demand. The CNG filling station will be
started by Adani Group’s Total Gas at HPCL Pump at Shivni in Amravati district.
It will be operated round the clock, Vidarbha Region Chief of Total Gas,
Yogeshkumar Pardhi said. The fuel will be supplied from Bori mother station in Chandur
Railway.
Pardhi said that five more CNG stations will be
opened on the Expressway within the next six months. The stations will be
started on both the sides of the Expressway between Nagpur and Boldana.
