Kanpur, 17
March (HS): A sensational case has come to light in a village in Kanpur, Uttar
Pradesh, where an 11-year-old girl, who had gone to graze goats on Monday
evening, was murdered and her body buried in a field. The family suspects a
neighbour of raping and murdering her. Police took possession of the body on
Tuesday and sent it for a post-mortem examination. They have detained one
suspect and launched an investigation.
The
victim's father from a village under Bidhanu police station area said that his
daughter was a fifth grade student. On Monday evening she had gone to the field
to graze goats. When she did not return home till late night, the family
informed the police and started searching on their own but could not find her.
Today early morning when the family started searching again, they were shocked
to see the soil dug up at a place in a wheat field about three hundred meters
away from the house. When the family dug there and looked, they saw the girl's
body. The family immediately informed the police. The police called the
forensic team and got the girl's body out, but there were no clothes on the
body.
The police

the body, there was chaos in the family. They have accused a young man living
in the neighborhood of raping, murdering and burying the body. On the complaint
of the family, the police detained the accused young man into custody and took
him to the police station for questioning. Bidhanu police station in-charge Tej
Bahadur said that a man has been taken into custody and is being questioned. “Further
legal action in the case will be taken only after the postmortem report comes.
