March (HS): A 25-year-old male reportedly raped a 24-year-old widow in this
Uttar Pradesh district, police said Monday. The event occurred in a village
inside the Sikandrarao police station's jurisdiction. When the victim raised an
alert, the accused left the site of the crime, according to authorities. A case
has been filed. According to authorities, the crime happened on Sunday night.
The victim, who had two children, lives with her mother-in-law in the area. Her
mother-in-law had gone to see relatives, so she was at home with her children
when the accused, a married man who lives in front of her house, reportedly
mounted the wall and broke into her home.
According
to a written complaint filed by the victim, after obtaining admission into the
residence, the accused brutally raped her. When she started yelling and
shouting, he departed the scene after warning her to stay silent. Her spouse
perished in an accident around two years ago. JN Asthana, Circle Officer
(Sikandrarao), stated that the investigation is ongoing and that the culprit
would be nabbed shortly.
