New Delhi, 15 March (H.S.): Formula 1 has cancelled the Bahrain and Saudi Arabian Grands Prix scheduled for April amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, opting against replacements after exhaustive deliberations.Organizers confirmed that Formula 2, Formula 3, and F1 Academy rounds will also skip their slots, a call made in full consultation with the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) and local promoters following rigorous safety assessments.

F1 President Stefano Domenicali called it a tough but necessary step, praising organizers' unwavering support and pledging a swift return once stability resumes. FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem underscored prioritizing community welfare, affirming both venues' pivotal role in future calendars upon favorable conditions.
