New Delhi, 15 March (H.S.): The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has annulled Class 12 board examinations across seven West Asian countries, citing precarious security conditions and prioritizing student safety. In a circular issued on Saturday, the board announced the cancellation of all scheduled Class 12 exams from March 16 to April 10 for students at affiliated schools in Bahrain, Iran, Kuwait, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, and the United Arab Emirates.

This decision follows a comprehensive review of feasibility, informed by inputs from local schools and authorities, which deemed exam conduction untenable under prevailing circumstances.

The CBSE further clarified that exams previously postponed via circulars dated March 1, 3, 5, 7, and 9, 2026, are now officially cancelled. Results for affected Class 12 students in these nations will be determined through a separate process, with details to be communicated shortly.
