14 March (HS): In 2025, on the initiative of Uttar Pradesh's Industrial
Development Minister and Prayagraj City South MLA Nand Gopal Gupta Nandi,
financial assistance of Rs. 7,00, 41,409 was provided to 405 people suffering from
serious illnesses and financially weak people. His efforts in right direction ensured
better treatment opportunities for many patients, while many others were given
a new lease on life. Minister Nandi is continuously striving to ensure that
financial assistance reaches the needy and that treatment for the economically
weak is not interrupted due to lack of funds.
Due to the
efforts of Minister Nandi, for the treatment of cancer, kidney, heart disease,
bone disease, arthritis as well as other serious diseases, Rs. 57,58,400 were
given to 27 patients in January, Rs. 26,45,000 to 47 patients in February, Rs.
1,12,20,407 to 47 patients in March, Rs. 1,01,55,602 to 52 patients in April,
Rs. 77,73,500 to 38 patients in May, Rs. 46,85,000 to 17 patients in June, Rs.
1,13,90,500 to 58 patients in July, Rs. 39,75,000 to 39 patients in August, Rs.
53,95,000 to 44 patients in September, Rs. 47,55,500 to 39 patients in October.
Financial assistance of Rs 13,60,000 to 10 patients in November and provided Rs
9,27,500 to 6 patients in December. Those receiving financial assistance
include people from Prayagraj City South Assembly constituency as well as various
other districts.
Youth
active in 84 sectors of the City South Assembly constituency tour the area and
listen to people's problems. After gathering information about medical problems
and financial constraints, they complete the government procedures for
treatment and send a letter to the Chief Minister's Office through the
minister, where funds for treatment are transferred from the Chief Minister's
Relief Fund. If any needy person comes to Minister Nandi's residence, office or
Lucknow residence seeking financial help for treatment, the Minister makes
every effort to provide him financial assistance by completing the government
procedures.
