
New Delhi, 13 March (H.S.): Prime Minister Narendra Modi will commence a pivotal two-day visit to Assam today, poised to gift the state development projects valued at ₹36,279 crore.Having visited Assam more than 40 times since taking office, Modi's trips mark an extraordinary chapter in the state's political narrative.
Kokrajhar Rally and BTC Momentum
In Kokrajhar today, following the NDA government's rise in the Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC), the Prime Minister will address a grand public rally.
He will dedicate ₹4,574 crore in development initiatives to BTC residents and inaugurate key efforts, including ₹1,100 crore road projects and three new train services: Kamakhya-Charlapalli Amrit Bharat Express, Narangi-Agartala Express, and Guwahati-New Jalpaiguri Express.
Under 'Assam Mala 3.0', authorities will launch projects spanning 883 km of roads and 36 new bridges, budgeted at ₹3,217 crore.
Guwahati's Infrastructure Bonanza
During a Guwahati event today, PM Modi will inaugurate or dedicate nearly ₹8,841 crore in projects, encompassing the ₹3,633 crore Fakirting-Tinsukia rail doubling, ₹1,180 crore Chaparmukh-Dibrugarh line electrification, and ₹421 crore Rangiya-Murkongselek electrification.
He will lay the foundation stone for a ₹210 crore ropeway linking Kamakhya railway station to the temple, unveil the Betkuchi Ekta Mall, and dedicate the ₹2,320 crore Kapili Hydroelectric Project to the public.
Day Two: Expressway Launch and Empowerment Milestone
On March 14, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for the ₹22,864 crore Guwahati-Silchar Expressway.
Honoring a key electoral pledge, he will kick off land patta distribution to Assam's tea garden workers at a solemn Guwahati ceremony today, embodying the government's steadfast resolve for social justice and tea tribe welfare.
