March (HS): Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha arrived in

Vindhyachal on Wednesday morning and performed the ceremonial puja of Goddess

Vindhyavasini at the world-famous Shaktipeeth Vindhyadham. Special security

arrangements were made in the temple complex and surrounding areas in

anticipation of his arrival. Upon his arrival this morning, Lieutenant Governor

Manoj Sinha was welcomed by the priests and temple administration. He then

performed puja in the sanctum sanctorum of Goddess Vindhyavasini amidst

chanting of Vedic mantras, praying for the prosperity and well-being of the

country and the state. During his darshan, he stayed for some time in the

temple complex, bowing at the feet of the Goddess and seeking her blessings.

Following the puja, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha proceeded to the Ashtabhuja

Guest House in the Ashtabhuja area, where he was formally accorded a guard of

honor by the police. Senior district administration and police officials were

present. The officials also briefed him on the district's security

arrangements.

In view of

the arrival of the Lieutenant Governor, strict security arrangements were made

in the Vindhyachal area. Police force was deployed in the temple premises and

surrounding routes and the movement of devotees was managed in an orderly

manner. The local people and devotees were also seen excited about the arrival

of the Lieutenant Governor. After darshan, he praised the arrangements of the

temple and expressed his deep faith in Maa Vindhyavasini. It is noteworthy that

the shrine of Maa Vindhyavasini located in Vindhyachal is considered one of the

major Shaktipeeths of the country, where thousands of devotees reach daily for

darshan and worship. On special occasions and festivals, a huge crowd of

devotees gathers here.
